Das said both security to banks and attention to common people are being given.

In coordination with the RBI and other banks, the state government has taken various measures to minimise difficulties of people in rural areas in exchanging and depositing scrapped banknotes, the release said.

Banks have also been directed to facilitate cash exchange in the cantonments of army and para-military forces, it said.
