With the festival of lights barely two days away, Uttar Pradesh is seeing a steep surge in the popularity of Amar Singh “phuljhadis” and Modi “bombs”. Firecrackers, this Diwali, have also been named after Indian Army’s successful surgical strikes.
A shopkeeper said, “Indian Army has made us proud. So, such firecrackers were bound to be introduced in the market. It is a tribute to our soldiers.”
Sources said that such firecrackers are especially a hit in Allahabad.
With Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh enjoying high popularity ratings, the Narendra Modi bomb is doing great business as well.
